HOW IT ALL STARTED

The Stockholm archipelago is the summer of my childhood. I lived in Långvik, a fishing village on the island of Möja, and so did Jeppe Lindfors, Möja’s eccentric resident — my guide to the archipelago.

We rode in his boat, cast out fishnets, transported sheep, swam and fished. It is from my memories and adventures with Jeppe, palling around with my cousin Staven, all the sailing trips with my parents and — little by little — days of leisure with my own family on the islands I composed this music.

Ten islands, ten compositions.
